Michelle Mwambela is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 7 years’ experience in the Mining, Oil and Gas sector with specific interests in natural resources law, land law, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and sustainable communities. She is a Certified Professional Mediator and is also accredited as a mediator by the Mediation Accreditation Committee (MAC) under the Kenyan Judiciary. She has experience in engaging and empowering communities within the extractives sector having worked in public and private sectors as well as academia. Additionally, she has worked extensively with women in different parts of the country including Taita Taveta, Kilifi and Kwale and has a clear understanding of the issues affecting them. Michelle is passionate about seeing more sustainable communities particularly within and around resource rich areas.
